Sport and activities

Perhaps you would like to have the game of cricket explained to you and see a game as part of your tour in the Cotswolds? Or maybe you would like to play a round of golf - or even take part in a traditional game of pub skittles?

There are other sporting occasions that are peculiar to the area. The Cotswold Olympicks which include such events as Oshin-kicking competitions - have taken place annually on the same spectacular site since the 17th century. Shakespeare appears to have known of their existence and they retain their local, country flavour to this day.

Then there is the extreme sport of Cheese Rolling, an annual event where spectators gather to watch local people pursue a wooden cheese down the steep slope of Cooperıs Hill - at great risk to life and limb!

Alternatively, maybe you would like to concentrate on certain activities within your touring holiday, for example, a day spent walking, cycling, or horseback riding? Tell us what you would like to do and we will do our best to arrange it.
